EDITOR IN CHIEF: Paul Gottfried

Paul Gottfried, Ph.D., is editor-in-chief of Chronicles. He is the Raffensperger Professor Emeritus of Humanities at Elizabethtown College, a Guggenheim recipient, and a Mises Research Fellow. Paul also cohosts the Cotto/Gottfried interview program on Roku. He has been writing for Chronicles since its founding in 1977, and is the author of numerous articles as well as 13 books, including:

EXECUTIVE EDITOR: Edward Welsch

Edward Welsch is the executive editor of Chronicles: A Magazine of American Culture. He was previously a journalist covering the financial markets and energy industry for The Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg News from bureaus in Washington, D.C., New York, and Calgary, and was also the editor of financial newsletters. He is an undergraduate of St. Olaf College and a student of its Great Books program, and holds a master’s degree in Journalism and Communications from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
