I have seen news reports stating that French authorities are concerned about the hundreds of French Islamists who have gone to Syria to fight for ISIS and have returned to France. This is misleading. Such people are not French, whatever their citizenship may be. They are unassimilated Moslem immigrants, or the descendants of unassimilated Moslem immigrants. If France were still French in the same way the small town I visited in the Loire valley in September is French, the streets of Paris would not have been covered with blood last night.
